The Nintendo Switch News App Took a Year to Make

The Switch doesnt have a lot of built-in features in its current state, but one feature that is there and definitely hard to miss is Switch News. Reference the discussions dealing with R4i Gold 3DS RTS ,A crucial Nintendo3DS scientific studies community. This app is the first icon on the Home screen and new content is constantly being shown via the Sleep menu when the system is woken up. The News contains info on discounts/sales, charts, trailers, upcoming games and other announcements. Its basically just like scrolling through a game news website like Nintendo Enthusiast, but far more curated and the articles are written by Nintendo staff. In case you were wondering how this came about, Nintendo of Japan employee Yuusuke Inoue shared his story of the apps development and its been published on the NoJ website.

According to Inoue, the Switch News app took a year to design. The development team only consisted of 4-5 people. While this app is seemingly very simple, it turns out that Inoue and his team had a lot of trouble getting it together. This has to do with hard-to-achieve requests that were made from executives at Nintendo of Japan and overseas branches (probably Nintendo of America and Europe, although they werent specifically mentioned). Inoue explained that these discussions with his higher-ups mostly consisted of. To get more information about the present jailbreak technologies for Nintendo Console, try this.a lot of back-and-forth since the different execs from the different branches would sometimes offer feedback that went against what the other would be saying.

Despite all the turmoil, Inoue and his team obviously managed to get the feature in working condition just in time to go live alongside the Switchs release last year.

Do you make use of the Switch News app?
